Behavior Technician — Silver Lining ABA (Columbus)

Salary: $17 - 20 per hour

Opportunity Summary:

Silver Lining ABA is looking for full-time Behavior Technicians to work with children with developmental disabilities. This opportunity is an entry-level position that boasts full coverage benefits, full-time hours, and consistent schedules with a collaborative team! There is absolutely no experience required! Our extensive and ongoing training will prepare you for everything required in this role.

New hires at Silver Lining ABA receive two weeks of paid training from experienced BCBAs and Program Managers, start with 40 hours a week of in-clinic work, and receive three opportunities for significant raises within their first year! We support each new hire in a career in ABA by paying to become certified as a Registered Behavior Technician and providing fieldwork hours to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst!

About Silver Lining ABA:

Silver Lining is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) company that was established over a decade ago by a BCBA with an autistic child and a mother of a child with developmental disabilities. We are a team here at SLG, not just some corporate company. We have weekly, clinic-specific staff meetings and training, provide constant support for our team members, and do not require overtime. We have grown to four clinics in the greater Ohio area: St. Clairsville, Westlake, Mansfield, and Columbus, Ohio!

Position Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • 18 years old or older
  • Able to lift 50 pounds on occasion
  • Have reliable means of transportation

Preferred skills (a plus):

  • Experience working with children with autism, challenging behaviors, emotional support needs, or developmental disabilities and delays.
  • Experience as a paraprofessional, behavior support, emotional support, school aide, classroom aide, TSS, or special education classroom support.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong technical skills with basic systems such as email, notes, and medical records on both computer and iPad.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ABA therapy for children at our centers to help them improve behaviors and acquire new skills.
  • Follow specific protocol for each client and implement individualized ABA programs as set by the treatment plan and directed by a BCBA.
  • Document client sessions by recording data, writing quality session notes, and inputting timesheets.
  • Develop strong rapport with the client and family and work with parents to ensure the child is meeting their goals.
  • Communicate with supervisors on case updates, changes in schedule, and availability.
  • Participate in supervision sessions and team meetings.
  • Maintain professional conduct and boundaries, client confidentiality, and timely communication with families.

Logistics and Details:
